Moda e cinema, un connubio sempre più solido tra due realtà diventate ormai imprescindibili l’una dall’altra. Non soltanto i costume designer hanno assunto un ruolo fondamentale nella produzione di pellicole da grande e piccolo schermo, ma ormai l’attesa del red carpet sta diventando sempre più adrenalinica e le classifiche del best or worst dressed le più cliccate sul web.

In realtà stilisti e registi sono sempre andati a braccetto, ma ora c’è la chiara consapevolezza del fatto che il look azzeccato può trasformare un’attrice qualsiasi in una movie star e un semplice bel film in un cult. E non parlo soltanto di cinema: chi non ha mai sentito parlare di MAD MEN? Abiti sartoriali, giacche dal taglio slim, revers stretti, cravatte sottili: lo stile dei personaggi di questa serie americana ambientata negli Anni Sessanta, è tornato di grande attualità fino addirittura a influenzare le passerelle della prossima estate, dove sono riapparsi costumi da bagno interi, gonne a ruota, abiti stretti in vita e piccole giacche con maniche a 3/4. Un vero tributo a questo sceneggiato seguitissimo dal pubblico e apprezzato dalla critica, la cui costumista Janie Bryant ha certamente contribuito largamente al successo trasversale del telefilm, firmando addirittura collezioni Mad Men per Banana Republic e Brooks Brothers e riaffermando una nuova idea di fisicità femminile, morbida, pin up e sensuale… davvero una notevole influenza di stile!
