Le prime a indossare capi a la marinière su set cinematografici e servizi editoriali sono state Ruth Chatterton, celebre attrice degli Anni Venti, e la mitica Ingrid Bergman, ma colei che ha trasformato la classica maglia bretone in un must è stata l’icona Coco Chanel, indimenticabilmente chic nella foto che la ritrae con maglia a righe e pantaloni a vita alta da marinaio sulle spiagge di Deauville. Poi sono arrivate Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn e Jane Birkin che hanno fatto di questo capo il loro tratto distintivo… è necessario aggiungere altro??!

La mia preferita resta la versione classica, a righe bianche e blu navy, ma quest’anno ho deciso di aggiungere al mio guardaroba primaverile una bella marinière bianca e rossa, con bottoni oro sulla spalla, proprio come questa.

My favorite is the classic version – navy blue and white-striped. But this year I decided to add a lovely spring marinière to my wardrobe– white and red, with gold buttons on the shoulder, just like this.
