Ci sono città realisticamente fantastiche, altre oggettivamente sensazionali e altre, invece, un po’ meno conosciute che possono però riservare itinerari non meno interessanti… è il caso di Zurigo, meta della mia ultima getaway! Ad appena tre ore d’auto da Milano, è possibile immergersi in un ambiente giovane, metropolitano e creativo, grazie al continuo fermento culturale e artistico che invade questo capoluogo svizzero. Un giro in bici o una gita in battello sono un must, così come un pomeriggio dedicato allo shopping in Bahnhofstrasse oppure nelle vie della città vecchia, alla scoperta di boutique nascoste e di showroom appena inaugurati… io stavolta ho preferito l’home decor alla moda, regalandomi degli splendidi piattini da dolce della prima metà dell’800 acquistati da Spencer’s Tableware (la mecca delle porcellane vintage e dei vetri antichi). Some cities are truly incredible, others are simply sensational and others, though not as well-known, offer an itinerary that is no less interesting… this is the case with Zurich, my convenient ultimate getaway! Just a three hour drive from Milano, you can immerse yourself in a young, creative, and metropolitan city, thanks to the ongoing cultural and artistic vibe that pervades this Swiss capital. A bike ride or a boat trip are a must, as well as an afternoon shopping on Bahnhofstrasse or through the streets of the old town, discovering hidden boutiques and newly opened showrooms … This time I preferred the fashion of home décor, which gave me splendid dessert plates from the first half of the 9^th century that I purchased at Spencer’s Tableware (the mecca of vintage porcelain and antique glass).
